apache_web_server_ldap_error

When you are configuring Apache-Aactive directory integration you may find this error. This is bit strange error, this type of errors will come when the LDAP URL is not mention properly. There may be a special character in the line which you coped from some file/doc/blog causing this issue.

If you see below lines both look same

AuthLDAPURL “ldap://server.example.com:3268/dc=example,dc=com?sAMAccountName?sub?(objectClass=*)”
AuthLDAPURL "ldap://server.example.com:3268/dc=example,dc=com?sAMAccountName?sub?(objectClass=*)"

But there is a hidden new line in first AuthLDAPURL line. so be careful … Continue Reading

Recently we got a requirement to configure a Sub-domain(sub-zone) record in DNS server.  Its little bit advanced concept but very much easy to configure. The most known records are as follows.

A record for Adding an IP address record

NS record for a Name Server record

PTR record for a pointer record( i.e. Reverse IP lookup record)

CNAME record for a Canonical name record(i.e. alias to a A record)

nero_nrg_linux_iso_convert

Q. I have an NRG image file which is created from my nero writing software, how can i convert it to ISO formateso that I can mount it under linux?

Ans : .nrg files can be converted by using nrg2iso command. This is not installed by default in Linux, so you have to install it from repos.

In Ubuntu/Debain

#apt-get install nrg2iso

In Redhat/CentOS/Fedora

#yum install nrg2iso
